Flipkart's Bansal and Ola's Bhavish Aggarwal were among the first to raise their voice against what they termed as aggressive spending by overseas companies that distorts the chances of a level playing field for Indian players.
The move is to protect the self-interest of these start-ups and their investors. These well-funded startup could not cope with the high competition from the Foreign player and earlier seen begging the government to curb the entries of big brand. When the government did not listen they started new play to get the attention of the concern.
The committee of Indiatech.org is consisting of well-funded start-ups who could not compete with larger player. They are also killing the small and new entrant in the name of Big discount and powerful offers. The recent development in Ecommerce industry where abof.com shut down due to high competition from well-funded start-ups and there are many name in the road.
The creation of Indiatech.org provides a cohesive voice and structured platform to local players. This sentiment has been reflected by top bureaucrats, who feel there is no clarity yet on what specific measures local entrepreneurs want.
