How is helping business to find the best lawyers to solve their legal issues.

30th, May 2017    -    HR Tech platform has over 70+ business lawyers, which include premium lawyer who have worked at top law firms like Luthra & Luthra, AZB, Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan & co and well-known companies & startups such as Tata, Google, Zoomcar, Redbus, Swiggy, FashionTV, Pepperfry, bank4u, Cardekho, Tripoto, Edukart, to name a few.

Currently operational in Delhi NCR, Mumbai & Bengaluru, the platform has resolved over 1000+ queries and helped more than 300+ businesses find their lawyer. After successfully helping start-ups across these major hubs, lawyered is now expanding its target to SME’s and industry specific businesses. For the same reason, a new feature of on-call legal advice has been introduced through which businesses can now take help of an industry expert lawyer at a flat fee of Rs.1500/- for 30 minutes. The new feature is expected to come very handy for HR, CIO, CXO, and decision makers working with young startups & early stage venture which cannot afford an in-house lawyer.

Like education, medical services, police enforcement, legal is a building block of the society and it is surprising to see that till date, legal remains an expensive and inaccessible service. is a platform where people can find lawyers based on their requirements and budget constraints. We are on a mission to help people feel legally empowered. With Lawyered, you can ask free legal questions, consult lawyers on call and book appointments with your preferred lawyer.

About the team:

We are 4 friends who started Lawyered. I have been working in the Startup ecosystem past 3 years and am experienced in UX/UI, graphics, social media marketing, sales and Customer Relationship Management.

Shashank is an experienced software developer, worked with TCS & Qantas Airlines for developing a Supply Chain Management software, Product Management.

Raghav worked as a System engineer in TCS & Qantas airlines from 2013 to Oct’15. Experienced Business Intelligence Executive & Analyst. Keen interest towards data, infrastructure, management and operations.Lakshya, after engineering, worked with his family business managing 1000 labours before starting his entrepreneurial journey with lawyered.

Value proposition:

The best part of finding a lawyer through Lawyered is for all appointments booked through the platform, the first consultation meetings are completely free of cost.

Currently, we have over 100 lawyers registered on our platform across Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai and we have recently started operations in Hyderabad. Within 6 months of operations, more than 400 appointments have been booked through

Differentiate factor:

Unlike our competitor like lawrato & VakilSearch, is solving the niche problem faced by start-ups & SME’s. Moreover, the criteria for lawyers to be on the network have made sure that the platform is highly curated as per the needs of their target segment. To be on the lawyered network, a lawyer must hold an active bar license, minimum 3 years of practice experience, and a deep understanding of corporate/business law. The major revenue for the platform is the lawyer subscription that comes in a quarterly, half yearly and yearly plan.

Challenges and makeovers:

Entrepreneurship comes with a lot challenges. But these challenges are rewarding in nature. right from trying to establish a brand, looking for a product market fit and making people believe in your product. To top all these, there is a risk involved when you don’t know the future, and there is always something or somebody who holds you back. The only way to overcome this is persistence and perseverance. It is definitely not easy, but it is definitely worth all the effort.

Future plans and vision:

The legal sector in India is roughly estimated to be 10 billion dollars’ industry. According to a recent survey by Bar council of India, there are over 2 million lawyers in India, out of which more than 60% are self-employed.

By the end of 2017, we expect to on board 1000 lawyers and expand our reach to 20 major cities. Moving forward we want to add more automation for lawyer discovery and build tech-enabled solutions for lawyers to practice smart.
